Less sun means less vitamin D... and that leads to a weaker immune system.
You don’t have time for that!
Strengthen your immune system with Elderberry D3fense™, our exclusive blend of vitamin D3 & immune-boosting herb and nutrients.
Because you deserve the best!
Elderberry D3fense is your best line of defense, powered by pure elderberry, echinacea, olive leaf and royal jelly, for powerful immune system support.
Immune and respiratory system functions play an important role in overall health, especially during seasonal changes.
Elderberry D3fense™ has been specifically formulated to support these systems.
The cloudy winter months (when people receive little sun exposure) are the hardest months for the immune system.
During these times, people are less likely to have needed levels of vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin!
Elderberry D3fense™ is a powerful combination of renowned heavy hitters with a long history of immune system support, including a healthy dose of vitamin D3!
And, mounting research indicates that additional key ingredients — Elderberry fruit extract and Echinacea purpurea — also strengthen the immune system.
Put up a strong defense with Elderberry D3fense™...only from Nature’s Sunshine!
Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 supports both the innate and adaptive immune branches. Research shows that vitamin D helps support a healthy immune system by regulating lymphocyte function, cytokine production and macrophage activity. Vitamin D is essential for the activation of immune cells needed to seek out and destroy infectious invading microbes. Although vitamin D can be found in trace amounts in certain foods, it is more commonly acquired through supplementation. The body synthesizes vitamin D3 from cholesterol and sunlight, making it difficult to obtain adequate amounts of vitamin D during cloudy or winter months.
Elderberry
People have depended upon elderberry's powerful immune support for thousands of years! Historically, elderberry has been used in traditional medicine to support the immune and respiratory systems and increase resistance to illness. Elderberry naturally contains vitamin C, along with flavonoid derivatives called anthocyanidins that provide antioxidant protection and appear to have immune-stimulating effects. These compounds have been found to bind to foreign microbes and block their ability to invade host cells. In this way, elderberry may help reduce the duration and severity of cold and flu-like upper respiratory symptoms. Elderberry also contains active substances that stimulate the body to make cytokines, a type of protein molecule that enhances the immune system's response to attacks.
Echinacea
Centuries ago, Native Americans turned to the healing power of echinacea, using it traditionally for colds, coughs and sore throats. Today, herbal practitioners have embraced echinacea to support the body’s natural defenses. Echinacea safely enhances the activity of the immune system and supports a healthy inflammatory response. Echinacea helps increase the activity of certain immune cells and promotes the release of cytokines from these immune cells. Cytokines are cellular communication and regulatory molecules that enhance the immune system's response to attacks. Echinacea also triggers the body's white blood cells to attack unwanted invaders. According to research, echinacea can significantly increase the body's count of specialized white blood cells, including T-cells, interferon, interleukin and immunoglobulins. Echinacea also contains active substances that have antioxidant activity.
Willow Bark
Willow bark has been used to alleviate aches and discomfort since ancient times. Willow bark has been taken for centuries to relieve sore muscles. Records show that the ancient Greeks chewed on willow tree bark to help dull discomforts. Willow bark contains the active ingredient salicin, which helps relieve aches and discomfort and doesn’t irritate the stomach. Salicin is a natural compound, similar to the chemical used in aspirin. Salicin appears to help prevent the production of prostaglandins, hormone-like substances that affect several bodily functions, including inflammatory processes.
Royal Jelly
Royal jelly is a nutrient-rich substance secreted from the glands of worker bees to nourish and sustain the longevity of the queen bee. Royal jelly is rich in protein, amino acids, simple carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids. It also contains polyphenols, which are plant-based chemicals that are strong antioxidants. Royal jelly is consumed as a health food around the world. It can also be found in a variety of health foods and beverages for boosting energy and performance.
Olive Leaf
Olive leaf has been shown to have powerful, health-boosting benefits. Olive leaf extract, a concentrated form of the nutrients found in olive leaves, is a potent source of antioxidants such as oleuropein (the substance in olive wood that helps protect the tree). Research suggests that oleuropein enhances the immune system's ability to attack and neutralize foreign bacteria and viral invaders. It may also help reduce the severity and duraction of upper respiratory problems.

Tip: Elevate this drink by making Elderberry D3fense ice cubes ahead of time. You can pop these cubes into drinks or a teacup or mug for a hot drink.
Simply add an extra batch or double batch of the hibiscus and Elderberry D3fense mixture (minus the seltzer) to an ice cube tray. Make these ice cubes even better by adding fresh or frozen berries like blueberries before freezing. Freeze the ice cubes for 4 hours or overnight. Store them in an airtight container for up to 1 month.
